Volunteer Training Part 1 - Colorado

Service Description

Our Volunteer Training /Part 1 is for the volunteer candidates, who are seriously interested in volunteering at our Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) upcoming workshops and events. During this required training, you will : • Discuss creating a Safe and Sacred Space • Spend time with the horses (no riding) • Learn about Equine Therapy (EAP) and Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) • Participate in a Group EAL activity • Observe/participate in a few sample EAL sessions • Role playing EAL sessions for training purposes • Discuss in detail, the volunteer responsibilities/commitment /positions available • Be trained on Session Set Up • Be educated on the various needs of our participants • Discuss the "What If's" • Learn about the types of workshops we offer and what their focus will be. • Will have plenty of time for Q & A throughout the training. • Will be given a presentation on Lakota Moon Equine Therapy grand vision and plans. After the Volunteer Training Part 1, you will be assigned to the volunteer position(s) that best fit you.
